Ribs by Vintry, Medan Damansara, KL

Went with a friend of mine, had an unpleasant experience in this pork shop,  the food is above average especially the ROAST PORK…sooo crispy (there is a wine cellar run by Vintry, if you have a taste for pork wine, there u go…) but the service was very off-putting.

Been to a few pork shop, El Cerdo@Jln Changkat & Sanbanto@SS2 both have impeccable service and quick. In those places the waiters are courteous and friendly without being overbearing while in Vintry one of them tend to be sullen which I find rather daunting.  On that very night, when we asked for the bill, we waited for 30 mins…

I am not a teetotal but we didn’t try their wine and  we ended the meal with a scrumptious chocolate fudge and creme caramel pudding.

We ordered:

Starter
  • Roast pork RM7 (100g)
  • Caramelised roast pork RM16 (200g)
  • Grilled Asparagus RM12
Main course
  • BBQ Pork Rivs (Medium) RM39
  • Teriyaki Pork Ribs RM49
Desert
  • Creme Caramel RM10 x 2
  • chocolate fudge with ice cream RM8??

Jojo Little Kitchen is one of the many pan mee restaurant in Kuchai Enterpreneurs Park. Same row as Win Sonn Cafe (亞顺生虾鱼头米), Jojo little kitchen has been broadcasted in 8TV Ho Chak TV series before. They serve a variety of pan mee, namely traditional soup/ dry pan mee, curry pan mee, herbal soup pan mee, Lu Ruo/ 滷肉 pan mee, etc. I had the traditional soup pan mee today =)

Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant, Desa Sri Hartamas HQ, KL

A belated BD celebration for Swi Ti & Patrick, we tried this in Hartamas branch. The online review is pretty good but I really felt it is overhyped. The pancake, cold noodle and even the BBQ chicken is not as delicious as the one in Seoul Korea (Taman Danao Desa). The staff is attentive but the service is rather brusque.
  • Dak Gal Bi (Marinated chicken in spicy sauce) - RM27
  • Yang nyum Dak gal bi (Chicken fillets marinated in a soy sauce) - RM27
  • Mool Naeng Myun (Buckwheat noodles with cold broth) - RM17
  • PaJeon (Korean scallion pancake) -RM25
  • Dolsot bibim bab (Stonepot mixed rice) - RM19

~Seoul Korea~ Again =p

Wednesday. We ordered Teriyaki chicken, seafood pancake and cold glutinous noodles. The 2nd dining experience is as good as the 1st one. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive, the ambiance is nice and the ventilation system is efficient.
